The company is seeking Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics (Level B or C) to join the 787 production teams in North Charleston, South Carolina.
This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing and aircraft assembly environment. Team members will leverage prior experience along with training and certifications to safely and accurately complete daily production tasks.
You will identify work locations, parts, and tooling on advanced aircraft by interpreting detailed drawings and work instructions. Attention to detail, procedural compliance, and quality execution are critical to ensure defect-free work. Primary ResponsibilitiesAdhere strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines; safety is non-negotiable
Maintain rigorous quality standards in compliance with regulatory and company requirements
Successfully complete new-hire foundational training and maintain required certifications
Use computers effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Read, interpret, and follow electronic work instructions, drawings, and specifications
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment based on task requirements
Operate mechanical lifts (ladders, tiger lifts, snorkel lifts)
Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment (ratchets, screwdrivers, power tools, multimeters, continuity testers)
Apply solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes
Inspect work for quality and Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
Work around energized electrical systems and in high-noise environments
Perform physical tasks including lifting (10–35 lbs), climbing, crouching, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting, and standing/walking for extended periods
Must-Have Skills, Experience, and EducationMinimum 1+ year of experience in a technical or mechanical role using hand, power, or pneumatic tools
Minimum 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly environments
Minimum 1+ year of experience using computer applications (email, internet, Microsoft Office, or similar systems)
Minimum 1+ year of experience reading and following work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications (in English)
Ability to apply basic mathematical calculations
Ability to work a variable shift schedule
Ability to meet physical demands of the role
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
