Title: Field Service Engineer – Power Control Equipment
Location: Erie, PA
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base + travel and overtime
First-year average total compensation: $125K+
Second year and beyond: $200K+ potential
Travel: Up to 80% (Take-home company vehicle provided)

Position Summary: The Field Service Engineer supports critical power facilities by performing startup, maintenance, and emergency service for automatic transfer switches and related power control equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical skills, customer service orientation, and extensive travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical expert on automatic transfer switches and power control systems
Provide on-site support for system startups, modifications, warranty service, repairs, and preventive maintenance
Ensure all work complies with applicable safety policies and regulations
Maintain consistent communication with clients in a professional, customer-service-focused manner
Identify opportunities to expand project scopes and negotiate any additional service charges
Remain on-call 24/7 for emergency support needs
Accurately interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Maintain proper documentation and complete projects within time and budget parameters
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in:
Field service engineering
Low to medium voltage power systems (supporting data centers, airports, etc.)
Automatic transfer switch testing
Reading schematics and blueprints
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards
Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Strong troubleshooting skills in power distribution, DC/AC systems, and voltage circuit theory
Excellent time management, follow-up, and customer service capabilities
