Flight Readiness Technicians perform functional testing, modifications, maintenance, and troubleshooting on aircraft systems while supporting aircraft delivery operations. This position is ideal for candidates with avionics, electrical, aerospace maintenance, flight line, or military aircraft maintenance backgrounds who enjoy hands-on troubleshooting and working around live aircraft systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, avionics, and aircraft systems.
• Assist with maintenance, modification, pre-flight, and post-flight activities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical/electronic faults.
• Support aircraft system and subsystem inspections prior to delivery.
• Verify work accuracy and perform self-inspections as required.
• Resolve operational and testing discrepancies on deliverable aircraft.
• Read and interpret technical documentation, maintenance instructions, and aircraft procedures.
• Support safe work practices including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention.
• Plan and organize assigned tasks with support from team leads.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to meet delivery schedules.
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education

• Ability to work variable shifts based on operational needs.
• Minimum 6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience.
• Minimum 6 months' experience working with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
• Experience or knowledge related to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and awareness.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aircraft systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in safety-sensitive aerospace environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• 3+ years of related aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• Aerospace manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• 787 Program experience.
• Experience with flight line or field operations.
• Familiarity with Boeing Production System principles.
• Military aviation maintenance experience highly transferable.
