Junior Operations Manager | Cleveland, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Onsite – Cleveland, OH

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Operations Manager to help lead production and drive operational excellence at AT&F.You'll coordinate and support manufacturing teams, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and helpdeliver large, complex fabrications for submarines and other projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on operational leadership, mentoring team members, andcontributing to purposeful, challenging work in a growing fabrication environment.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, quality standards, OPX initiatives, work instructions, and timekeeping practices.
  • Lead and coordinate production team activities to meet schedules, quality targets, and estimated hours.
  • Utilize EOS Toolkit to coach your team, set expectations, and maintain strong relationships to drive retention.
  • Support team members by troubleshooting issues and ensuring they have the necessary tools, materials, and information to complete jobs.
  • Review production plans and communicate priorities to your team.
  • Mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to improve performance and engagement.
  • Promote AT&F's Core Values and Strategic Plan.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in processes and workflow.
  • Drive quality improvements and support on-time delivery to ensure customer success.
  • Assess staffing needs and delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Conduct quarterly conversations with team members to maintain clear communication and expectations.
  • Perform administrative duties including payroll, time-off requests, and policy administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Must-Have Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of manufacturing management experience.
  • Experience coordinating and mentoring production teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to make decisions, be accountable, and communicate openly.
  • Dependable, flexible, and proactive in managing operations and team needs.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in welding and/or steel fabrication.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with operational excellence frameworks and production management tools.
