We are seeking experienced Manufacturing/Methods Engineers to support the design, optimization, and manufacturing of multicomponent mechanical assemblies with strong emphasis on DFM/DFA, manufacturability, and process efficiency. This role is involved from concept through the complete manufacturing cycle.
Job Description
The Manufacturing (Methods) Engineer will provide engineering and technical support for day-to-day manufacturing operations, develop new processes, and drive continuous improvements throughout fabrication, welding, and assembly departments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on engineering support for manufacturing operations and resolve daily production issues.
Lead and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Design equipment, materials handling solutions, and manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency.
Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling to support fabrication, welding, and assembly.
Plan and establish sequences of operations to optimize labor and machine utilization.
Collaborate closely with production teams, offering expertise on manufacturing techniques and process feasibility.
Create manuals, work instructions, and technical documentation based on production needs.
Participate in production meetings and provide engineering insight to support decision-making.
Contribute to and lead various continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
3–5 years of experience supporting mechanical assembly or manufacturing systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, metal fabrication practices, DFM/DFA principles, and GD&T.
Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar 3D modeling/design software.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with engineering, production, and manufacturing personnel.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
