Job Summary 
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of a manufacturing facility to ensure production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This role leads cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and cost efficiency. The Plant Manager works closely with senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives that support company growth and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee daily plant operations including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics. 
  • Ensure production targets, efficiency metrics, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Lead, develop, and manage plant personnel including supervisors, engineers, and production staff. 
  • Implement and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other operational methodologies. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, downtime, scrap rates, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). 
  • Develop and manage plant budgets, operating costs, and capital expenditure projects. 
  • Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials. 
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards. 
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on operational strategy and long-term production planning. 
Shape 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred). 
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or plant management role. 
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality management systems. 
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement programs. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. 
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing platforms.

Preferred Skills 
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt). 
  • Experience managing large manufacturing teams (50+ employees). 
  • Knowledge of automation, industrial equipment, and production technologies. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment 
  • Manufacturing facility environment with regular presence on the production floor. 
  • May require extended hours during peak production periods. 
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, supplier visits, or corporate meetings.
