Technology Recruitment Practice Lead / Senior Recruiter
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a boutique, founder-led talent solutions firm with deep roots in the financial services sector. The firm has built long-standing relationships across investment banking, broker-dealers, hedge funds, fintech, and other financial institutions, with many client partnerships spanning 20–30 years.
As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Technology Recruitment professional to help rebuild and expand their Technology practice.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an established agency recruiter who can operate independently, build credibility with senior clients, and manage complex technology searches from intake through placement.
The ideal hire may come from a full-desk recruiting, retained search, or recruitment leadership background. For the right individual, there is significant opportunity to help shape and ultimately lead the Technology practice.
What You'll Do
- Lead searches across senior-level technology positions, primarily within financial services organizations
- Partner directly with senior stakeholders to understand hiring needs, market dynamics, and search strategy
- Conduct detailed intake and calibration conversations with clients
- Manage searches independently from initial briefing through candidate delivery, interview process, and placement
- Recruit across technology functions supporting both front-office and middle-office environments
- Leverage an established client base and existing pipeline generated by a dedicated sales team
- Develop long-term relationships with candidates and clients
- Support the continued development of the firm's retained search offering
- Provide market intelligence and consultative guidance to clients throughout the hiring process
- For leadership-level hires, help build, mentor, and grow the Technology recruiting team over time
What We're Looking For
Required
- 8-10+ years of technology recruiting experience
- Strong agency recruitment experience; this role is not designed for candidates coming solely from corporate/internal recruiting
- Demonstrated success managing senior-level technology searches
- Experience recruiting at the VP, Director, Managing Director, or C-suite level
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to independently lead intake and strategy conversations
- Commercially minded and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
- Ability to operate with autonomy in a boutique, entrepreneurial setting
- Track record of successfully managing searches from intake through placement
Preferred
- Experience recruiting technology professionals within financial services
- Existing relationships within financial services or technology markets
- Experience building or leading a recruiting team
- Full-desk business development experience
- Retained or executive search experience, particularly within a boutique environment
- Experience recruiting across front-office trading technology, middle-office technology, infrastructure, engineering, data, or related functions
