What the role is all about:

CampaignAgent, part of ZXQ Group, is offering innovative vendor-paid advertising payment solutions for ZXQI estate campaigns. As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions that power CampaignAgent's services. You'll collaborate closely with our product team and ensure high-quality, secure, and scalable systems are delivered in line with business goals.

While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications and services using C#, ASP.NET core MVC, Angular, SQL Server, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with product managers and other engineers.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and ZXQ's coding standards.
  • Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Optimise SQL queries and database design for performance and maintainability.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Engage in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical design discussions.
  • Contribute to solution architecture and help guide technology decisions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as part of a shared on-call rotation.
  • Continuously improve development pipelines, tooling, and processes.

Who we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on C#, ASP.NET core MVC, Angular, SQL Server, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Solid understanding of application architecture, security, and performance optimisation.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills across front-end and back-end code.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and crosscultural team environment.
  • Team player who contributes positively to team culture and collaborative ways of working.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in Agile environments.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with AWS cloud services
  • Prior fintech or high-availability systems experience.
  • Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
