THE ROLE

Every dashboard number traces back to a table, a join, and a definition someone had to get right. You're the one who gets it right.

We're looking for Business Data Analysts to sit between the business and the Data Engineering team — translating what stakeholders need into requirements engineers can build against, and owning the source-to-measure map that keeps dashboards and underlying data in sync.

This is not a reporting role. You interview stakeholders, trace data back to its source, define the business logic behind every measure, and reconcile it against what the dashboards actually show — then hand engineering a spec they can build from with confidence.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

Responsibilities

Identify requirements to feed the Data Engineering team
Own the source-to-measure mapping and business logic definitions, ensuring reconciliation between business dashboards and underlying data

Activities

Interview stakeholders across the business to understand what data they produce and consume, including where that data lives, and secure access for the Data Engineering team
Reconcile business dashboards and calculations with available data
Write SQL queries
Own the source-to-measure map, identifying which tables contain which measures and at what grain
Define business logic definitions
Own technical and business stakeholder relationships

THE TECHNICAL BAR

You will be expected to execute hands-on technical work from day one. The requirements below reflect the actual skills needed to deliver outcomes for enterprise clients.

Must-Haves

Technical data analysis
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical stakeholders and translate requirements for data engineers
SQL proficiency
High-level understanding of Databricks
PBI and Qlik experience

NICE TO HAVE

Agriculture data experience
